The Shasta College Foundation is pleased to provide incoming foreign students with the opportunity to obtain a scholarship since it is aware of the obstacles and financial hurdles that many international students may have when attending a college in the United States. We are eager to receive international students on our campus and to be able to offer top-notch instruction to a broad student body.
Please be aware that although there is no visa requirement for applicants, scholarship winners must be valid F-1 visa holders in order to receive funding.

ABOUT Shasta College
In addition to being a part of the world's biggest community college system, Shasta College is a pioneer in higher education in the Northstate. Leading the way in California's higher education is Shasta College. The college was honored three times with the highly coveted Innovation in Higher Education award for its initiatives that support students in earning their certificates, degrees, or transfers to universities. In 2015, Shasta College was chosen as one of 15 California community colleges to provide a bachelor's degree program, and its first graduating class was honored in 2018. Earlier this year, Measure H, a $139 million general obligation, was passed.

Shasta College Foundation Scholarship for Foreign Students: Goals and Benefits Award: $3,000 (one-time)
Scholarship Distribution: To pay for school expenses, money is transferred straight to the student's Shasta College Student account.
Shasta College Foundation Scholarship Restrictions for Foreign Students
Fill out the application, writing the essay included (500 word maximum)
possess a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.5
Provide two (2) letters of recommendation from someone who are familiar with you but are not in your immediate family, such as your instructor, job, or a church member.
Send us a copy of your most recent unofficial school record.
The student must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 units at Shasta College before receiving support in the fall.
The deadline for scholarship applications is April 30, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. PST.
