Challenge for Google 2023 Solutions for University Students Globally

 


The goal of the 2023 Solution Challenge is to use Google technology to find a solution for one or more of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals.


Using Google tools, create a local solution to a problem that satisfies one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set forth by the UN. Members of Google Developer Student Clubs are eligible to enter the Solution Challenge. Visit the community website for the Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC) to join one.

How to Use 


Regarding Google

Google LLC is an American global technology corporation with a focus on Internet-related services and goods, such as cloud computing, software, hardware, and online advertising technologies. Together with Amazon, Apple, and Facebook, it is regarded as one of the Big Four technology giants. As Larry Page and Sergey Brin were pursuing their doctorates at Stanford University in California in September 1998, Google was created. Outside Google's core services, the company's explosive growth since incorporation has led to a chain of products, partnerships, and acquisitions.

Top 50 groups: Get guidance from Google and other professionals to refine your submission and compete for the top prize.

Top 10 contenders: Earn prizes including a one-year Pluralsight subscription, gear, extra personalized coaching from Google, a blog post on the Google Developers Blog, and access to a live YouTube Demo Day.

3 best winners: Win a Chromebook, a coffee date with a Google executive, and every reward in the Top 10 category. 


Qualification Standards for Solution Challenges

Please take note that every solution is rated from 1 to 100.


INFLUENCE [60 points]


Does the item clearly state an issue centered on one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations? Are the precise Sustainable Development Goal targets they are attempting to address well explained? [10]

How well does the solution deal with the problem that the team identified? Is there proof that a following step will be taken? Does the team show signs of having a future expansion strategy if they were to carry on? [10] Is there proof that the solution has undergone extensive user testing? [10]

Is there proof that the solution was modified depending on user input? [10] 


SCIENCE [40 points]


Does the proposed solution include all the technical elements required to address the problem? [10] Has the team provided explicit justification for the use of Google technologies as well as instructions on how to execute their code? [10]

Does the video presentation depict the actual working solution and how a user would utilize it?

Does the demonstration highlight the use of Google's technologies and the benefits that users receive from them? [10]

Has the team chosen a good technical and product strategy for their solution? [10]
