They are intended for candidates who have a proven track record of academic accomplishment, have demonstrated leadership via voluntary work, or have excelled in the performing arts or sports. International students at York University are eligible for grants and scholarships.

International graduate (Masters and PhD) students can apply for both institutional and external scholarships. This is because of that different scholarship programs are available for different academic levels and different international students' statuses.

In addition to the York scholarships, there are other financial aid options available for international students who are studying abroad. Both graduate and undergraduate students are eligible for a variety of international scholarships with the intention of reducing any financial pressure they may have while attending York University.

Outstanding international applicants who want to enroll in undergraduate programs are invited to apply for York University's undergraduate international admission scholarships.

This grant will be awarded to a graduate or undergraduate student at York University's faculty of environmental studies who wants to conduct research on issues related to the preservation of Neotropical animals. 

This award is available to PhD candidates who wish to pursue research on any topic related to epidemics or concerns of global health. The Armand and Denise LaBarge Multicultural Graduate Fellowship will be awarded to one MA or PhD student who demonstrates academic achievement in their area of study.

The Joyce and Fred Zemans Non-Renewable Scholarship will be awarded to three students enrolling in the graduate programs in art history, law, and MBA at the Schulich School of Business.

Scholarship for Excellence from International Presidents The first year of a four-year bachelor's degree program at York University offers applicants from overseas secondary schools a four-year, $180,000 scholarship per year. A GPA of at least 8.0 must be maintained by applicants in order to continue receiving the Presidents International Scholarship of Excellence. and 24 units of coursework.

York University scholarships for early admission International high school students who are enrolled in domestic or international high schools and are studying the Canadian high school curriculum are eligible for these scholarships.

Student Life Prize If you accept your admission offer by the dates indicated on your offer letter and complete the conditions for York University's automatic entry scholarship, you'll also be eligible for a $500 student life incentive (one-time for everyone).

Each year, three (3) $35,000 scholarships for international applicants with distinction are awarded. The majority of graduate scholarships made available based on admissions are for particular academic disciplines and are defined by the typical score needed to be admitted to York. 

When making a decision, external awards are primarily considered in order to address academic achievement and leadership potential, whereas internal honors, such the York University Scholars, address and reward a variety of factors.

Everyone from outside of the country who is enrolled in University Year 1 and paying tuition will receive a PS1000 scholarship.

International postgraduate teaching students are given a 5% advance payment discount on all of our campuses in York and London (not valid for degrees, research, or PhD programs).

Sign up for a DAAD scholarship to be eligible for monthly payments of EUR 850 for undergraduates and EUR 1,200 for PhD candidates. Glendon International Fellowship candidates must be enrolled international students at the aforementioned university.

2 Global Leader of Tomorrow Award, International Entrance Scholarships intended for:

The value of the components offered by scholarships for international students:

$80,000 ($20,000 split by four years) will be awarded to a global leader of tomorrow.

Scholarship for International Entry of Distinction: $140,000 ($35,000 multiplied by four years).

The above scholarships are all renewable for a total of three years of full-time undergraduate study, subject to maintaining a high academic standing each academic year. 

To qualify for the Major International Scholarships, you must meet ALL of the conditions listed below.

must be an international student who requires a study visa to study in Canada.

Must have applied to a York undergraduate degree program that starts in the autumn of 2021 straight out of high school, no later than two years after graduation, and without any prior university or college courses.

must possess a strong academic record and a "A" or above average.

Must have demonstrated leadership skills by volunteerism, artistic or athletic talent, or other personal accomplishments.

the nomination must come from their high school (schools may nominate one student only) 

I The candidate's application will be taken into account for the York University Academic Excellence Scholarships, the Global Leader of Tomorrow Award, the International Circle of Scholars Scholarships, and the International Entrance Scholarship of Distinction.

(ii) Candidates must clarify with their guidance counselor, principal, or administration that they are the student from their school who has been nominated by asking about the York International Student Scholarship & Award Application. (iii) After that, the applicant must include the name, title, contact information, and email address of the proposer in the application.

There must be one recommendation letter uploaded.

By February 1 at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time, all required documents must have "Received" status in the York application (MyFile).

Completed and submitted applications for the International Student Scholarship before February 1st, 2021 at 11:59:59 Eastern Time, electronically.

Application requirements: The application period is ended for the academic years 2021–2022.

You'll get a 9-digit York reference number five business days after submitting your application to York. By January 15th, 2021, your application to York must have been submitted. The application date is February 1, 2021.
