Eligibility & Requirements for Commonwealth Shared Scholarships
The following requirements must be met by applicants in order to be qualified for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarships 2023–24:
one of the qualifying Commonwealth Nations by becoming a citizen, obtaining refugee status there, or becoming a British Protected Person there.
reside there permanently in an acceptable Commonwealth country.
be qualified to start their academic endeavors there by September 2023, the start of the UK academic year.
By September 2023, possess a first degree with at least upper second-class (2:1) honors, a lower second-class degree (2:2, and an appropriate postgraduate degree (typically a Master's degree).
Without this Scholarship, they would not have been able to afford to attend a UK university due to not having completed one or more academic years of study or employment in a high-income country.

Commonwealth Shared Scholarships' advantages
Flights from the Scholar's country to the UK and return at the end of their Scholarship, as permitted by the CSC (the CSC will not pay for dependents' travel expenses or travels taken before the award is verified).
Approved tuition costs: All fees are paid for in accordance with the provisions of the agreement between the CSC and the UK university, and Scholars are not expected to pay any share of the tuition.
Stipend (living allowance) paid and supported by the institution at a rate of £1,236 for students attending universities outside the London metropolitan region or £1,516 for those doing so.

If a Scholar discloses they have a disability, the CSC will thoroughly assess their needs and determine whether they are eligible for additional financial aid.
